Activist’s inventory for EU until 2020. – Platforma 112

Europe 2020 is the European Strategy for growth for the coming decade. It has for objectives an improvement of the welfare system, the education, a development of the green economy and the protection of natural resources. However, this strategy is becoming more and more questionable every day because it has for consequence a limitation of the investments in the public sphere as it is dictated by a powerful politicy of saving.

The attempt to pull out the recession is based on a policy of savings, mainly on the south and east of Europe. It resulted from it an escalation of divisions in society, an increase of the poverty and an erosion of the public sector without expected economic recovery, especially in rural areas. It is quite obvious that this economic model is not sustainable from an economic, ecological or societal point of view.
