Gustave Sharangabo Makonene

Transparency International, its chapters and partners in more than 110 countries around the world, Individual Members, the International Board of Directors and Advisory Council wish to express their deepest sympathy to the family of Gustave Sharangabo Makonene, the most respected member of Transparency International Rwanda, who was murdered one year ago today.

As a Movement focused on stopping the scourge of corruption and bringing dignity into people’s daily lives, we will never forget Gustave. We cannot rest until those responsible have faced justice.

Transparency International sends its support to Gustave’s family and Transparency International Rwanda at this time of great sadness and grief.
