Paralele HRT- fight against corruption

Why, according to the Perception of corruption index, is New Zealand the less corrupted country in the World? What are the experiences in the fight against corruption? What is the situation of our regional neighbors, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina? What are conclusions from the TI’s research about EU institutions integrity?
Croatia is an example of how corruption can be bad for the economic development. Foreign investors say that corruption is the biggest obstacle for investments.
Anti-corruption report from the European Union is one of the key tools in the fight against corruption. European Union should monitor the fight against corruption in all member countries. This monitoring should be even stronger in the recent member States where the fight against corruption is not rooted in all parts of the society. Through that kind of supervision we can see the evolution of the fight: is it stagnating or is it getting better? Croatia, for instance, is progressing step by step. The civil society and more specifically Transparency International Croatia put high expectation on the new State Attorney Dinko Cvitan, stated Carl Dolan from the TI EU office (Brussels).
