Partnership for open government: On transparency should separately work local and regional governments

It is neccessary to advisie local and regional governements of Croatia on the values of open government. It has been emphasized by Partnership for open government whose Transparency International Croatia is a member.
Partnership for open government is a voluntary international initiative whose aim is to oblige governments to promote transparency, the fight against corruption and the use of new technologies to enhance the administration. Indepentent mechanism of reporting brings a two- year review of activities of each country participating to Partnership for open government.
In the past two years Croatia has developed a very ambitious plan of acting which includes all obligations and activities clearly connected to values of POV, but their successful implementation is neccessary. Government must create a clear strategy to know how reaching specific targeted audience with the values of POV. Besides, a particular attention must be paid on government and citizenship at a local and regional levels.
