How to explain that expensive cars ordered leaders of the poorest counties and cities with the highest unemployment rates?
What is in Croatia degree of political accountability to public money? Why voters in elections do not punish wasteful? in which way to control the politicians whose income can not explain the property they own?
This where it is a much larger issue of control spending of public money. It is a question of political accountability of individuals who hold high positions. Public goods need to manage care of a good - responsibly and in good faith. With no responsible politician we do not have a transparent political system and that is why the Global Corruption Barometer, a tool TI, showed that Croatian citizens believe political parties are the most corrupt institutions, which indirectly reduces trust in the politicians, said the president of TIC.
