Transparency International recently conducted a study on transparency of 105 largest companies in the world.

Research evaluated whether the companies disclose details of tax transactions and payment so as the anti-corruption programs.
Two-thirds of the 105 companies (68 per cent) report on their corruption prevention programs. It has to be compared to the results in the former similar study realised  in 2009 by Transparency International where less than half (47 per cent) did so.

When it comes to disclosure, the best performing sectors were mining, oil and gas – the extractives sector -. Companies from these industries took six of the top 10 positions in the ranking.

Financial companies are worst – they scored an average 4.2 out of 10. The lowest scoring companies in Europe, Asia and America were all banks.
