Ten years of accessing informations right in Republic of Croatia- round table

Commissary for Information has organized „ Ten years in accessing informations in Republic of Coratia“ round table, on 12 th, December, 2013 in Croatian Parlament.

Transparency International Croatia, President Davorka Budimir, took part in the discussion emphasizing that: „Right for accessing informations  is a very important tool to increase transparency  and to decrease the rate of corruption. The two countries with lowest corruption rate, according to the Corruption Perception Index 2013,namely Denmark and New Zealand, approved that information accession is the most relevant criteria for political system consolidation. Transparency International  Croatia  wants  that this right to access information do not  just stay „The Right“ and the Commissary Office just one more new institution. We should all together use that accession right as a powerfull weapon so we could, in the near  future, increase transparency, decrease corruption and increase confidence in political institutions.
